After a little bit of a lull in recent weeks, it seems a whole raft of excellent travel offers have appeared as both airlines and hotels chains ramp up their efforts to try and prod people into firming up their summer plans.

One particularly interesting promotion comes courtesy of boutique all-business class French airline, La Compagnie.

For those of you who have never encountered La Compagnie before, they originally launched back in 2014 with just 2 routes: London-New York and Paris-New York.

The London route was slashed in late 2016, with Brexit cited as a key reason. They now run a twice-daily service from Paris-New York.

They have recently launched a frankly unbeatable offer for travel from Paris to New York this summer.

They are offering return tickets for under £900 with availability all through the summer with children’s tickets (under 11’s) available for less than £700 – that is a fantastic deal!

Here is a sample itinerary for a weeklong trip in August:

By comparison – the cheapest business class flights from London on those same dates are more than £4,000!

What do I get for my £865?

The aircraft the company uses, feature just 74 seats. These are of the angled flat variety rather than a fully flat bed as you would get on the majority of transatlantic business class services.

Entertainment is provided via Samsung tablets which slot into the seatback in front of you (as shown in the image above). You will also receive airport lounge access.

How to get to Paris

Getting to and from Paris is simple enough, you can book a return Reward Flight Saver flight for just 9,000 Avios + £35.

Alternatively, you can pick up a cheap cash ticket from the likes of Easyjet, Transavia or CityJet for less than £80 return.

How to book

You can search for flights directly via La Compagnie’s website here.

Personally, I preferred searching using a site such as Expedia or Opodo which allowed me to see options with different airlines and view prices in pounds as well.

These prices are valid for travel between 10th July and 27th August 2017.

There is no ‘book by’ deadline currently listed on their website.

Verdict

Although, under normal circumstances, I wouldn’t personally contemplate flying indirectly to New York – given it is only a short 7-hour hop over the Atlantic to start with – with this sort of pricing I would be a buyer!

When you consider that the taxes alone on an Avios Club World/First Class redemption are in excess of £550, as well as a minimum of 100,000 Avios, paying less than £900 for a return business class ticket is an excellent deal!
