Phenomenal business class deals from Dublin
While the headline prices for Upper Class are pretty good for direct non-stop flights, the real bargains can be found out of Dublin.
You can pick up return business class flights to numerous North American destinations for just £1,100-£1,200!
Here’s an example of flights I found to San Francisco in March:
And here are flights to Los Angeles in May:
Bear in mind that a 7-day stay is required in order to access these prices.
Note: As the screenshots suggest, these deals can’t be booked online with Virgin directly.
If you do want to book online, these deals are available and bookable on Expedia or ebookers.

In terms of any restrictions on these sale fares, you can find a full list of T&C’s via this link. (Scroll to the bottom of the page to the ‘Terms and conditions’ tab).
Unfortunately, I can’t provide a list of blackout dates/travel by dates because these seem to vary hugely across individual destinations.
Quite why Virgin feels the need to have so many different blackout periods and excluded dates is a bit of a mystery…
Verdict
Some of the Upper Class pricing available from Dublin is superb. Considering that direct business class flights from London to Los Angeles/San Fransisco regularly exceed £2,500, paying £1,200 is an excellent deal. If you can find dates that work for you, I would jump on it.
We do tend to highlight predominately first/business class bargains on Tricks of the Trade – whatever that might entail. However, if you prefer no-nonsense direct flights, without stopping at a European airport along the way to slash the prices, this is the sort of sale that you should be paying attention to.
