United Airlines gives passenger $10,000 to take a later flight
This one’s from a couple of weeks ago but the amount involved is still staggering.
United initially offered $1,000 in travel credit after they oversold a flight, but no-one was biting. So this woman was bumped from the flight and offered $2,000 in travel vouchers. When she asked for cash instead, the proffered travel credit got higher and higher.
