British Airways have today launched a special, limited-time deal that I felt a number of our readers may well want to take advantage of.

Until Monday 23rd April, you can get a £50 discount per person on all long-haul flight bookings.

You must be a member of the British Airways Executive Club (free to join) to use this offer.

How to book

You need to use promotional code “BAMember50” to apply the discount.

The official promotional page for this offer recommends booking using the links on this page to ensure that the code works.

That dedicated offer page can be found here.

Alternatively, you can also input the code manually:

On the price quote page scroll down and you’ll see a section that says “Save money on your booking”. Select ‘Promotion code or eVoucher’ and input the code in the ‘Promotion code’ field as shown below:

Valid for travel between 21st April and 27th October 2018.

You must book by midnight on 23rd April 2018.

Anything else I should know?

  • As stated – you must be a member of the British Airways Executive Club to utilise this offer.
  • Code valid on all long-haul British Airways marketed and operated flights.
  • Minimum spend of £51 per person must be met for the code to work.
  • The discount IS applicable to bookings for children and infants, when contained on the same booking as an adult – this can be quite lucrative as infant fares are usually already greatly reduced.

The Promotion Code is NOT valid on:

  • Avios part payment bookings
  • Redemption bookings
  • Industry discounted fares (including agency, industry, employee discounts) inclusive holidays, group discount fares, child/infant fares or senior citizen fares, whether booked in one of the qualifying classes
  • Bookings made with any other vouchers/Promotion Codes
  • Upgrades
  • Any BA staff friends and family offers (for example, Hotlines).

Full T&C’s can be found at the bottom of this page.

Verdict

This is a solid offer and is a nice little discount especially if you had flights you needed to book anyway.

As this discount is per person not per booking, it obviously becomes an even better deal for those with families who can stack the deal.

Don’t forget you need to book by Monday!

    1. That’s a good question. The official T&C’s say this can’t be combined with any other promo codes or offers. Whether in practice it works is a different story…

For the AARP discount don’t you have to book through a dedicated link? It could be this £50 off code wouldn’t be accepted when booking that route.
