‘Travel hacking’. A term the general media love to throw about when discussing the world of airline/hotel miles and points. It could have been worse, I could have called it the ‘Hobby’. Then again, that would have made me a Hobbyist 🙄
Like it or not, the world of frequent flyer programs is full of acronyms and abbreviations. A quick glance at most frequent flyer forums and blogs is enough to make most people hurriedly abandon their New Year’s resolution to finally become savvier on all things airline miles and points.
We try to avoid unexplained acronyms and abbreviations at Tricks of the Trade, but the occasional one does creep in. With that in mind, I’ve put together a selection of common abbreviations that you may come across on blogs, forums and elsewhere.
