As part of their continuing BA 100 celebrations, British Airways have launched a limited-time special offer when you Part Pay with Avios.

Until midnight on 12th February, you can cash in 5,000 Avios per person for a £100 discount on any long-haul World Traveller (economy) or World Traveller Plus (premium economy) return flights.

This offer applies to long-haul flights departing the UK. Those booking one-way tickets can use 2,500 Avios for a £50 discount.

Super cheap tickets to New York, San Fransisco, Abu Dhabi etc

This offer makes for some super cheap flights. The best place to start is the BA Low Fare Finder which will show you the lowest prices by route for the coming months.

I quick check shows that I can book flights to New York in May for just £174!

I also spotted Miami for £186, San Fransisco for about £215 and Abu Dhabi for £200.

Verdict

This is an excellent deal and allows you to cash in your Avios at a substantial 2p each. As these are still cash tickets, you’ll also earn Avios and tier points on your flights. A British Airways Blue member would earn at least 1,730 Avios + 40 Tier points for their booking and a BA Gold member would net a whopping 8,650 Avios.

Don’t forget that the discount applies per person so a family of four could knock £400 off their booking using this deal.
