We’ve covered British Airways Dream Ticket offers before – notably when they offered cheap First Class tickets to Cape Town last year. And now they’re back with an excellent offer on the relatively new Durban route.

On the Dream Tickets page of the BA website they are currently promoting the following companion offer:

BA Dream Tickets Durban

Prices really are that good. I priced up a two week trip in May:

How good is this deal?

To give you an idea of how good this deal really is, here are the lowest prices per person for business class flights to Durban, outside of this promotion.

Prices courtesy of the BA Low Fare finder:

BA Dream Tickets Durban 3

As you can see, £1,000 per person represents a pretty huge saving over regular prices. I’d also be looking at this deal even if Durban isn’t your final destination. Cape Town & Jo’burg are both a short connecting flight away for example.

How to book

The BA Dream Tickets page is here.

Remember, you must travel with a companion to take advantage of this deal.

  • All promotional fares quoted from London Heathrow are operated by British Airways.
  • Tickets must be bought at the same time, and both tickets should have the same travel dates.
  • Travel between 1st April 2019 to 31st May 2019 or between 1st July 2019 and 31st August 2019

Tip: For an extra £50 or so, add a cheap rental car to your booking which would make it a BA Holiday booking. That means only a deposit would be due now with the balance only payable 5 weeks before departure.

Book by 1st March 2019.

Verdict

£1,000 per person for non-stop business class flights from the UK to South Africa is a very good deal in my book.

For those of you who have been eyeing a trip to South Africa this a great way to pick up cheap business class flights. Both Cape Town and Johannesburg are only a quick connecting flight from Durban and prices appear to be very reasonable. You can even redeem Avios for Comair flights.
