If you have a British Airways American Express Credit Card or Premium Plus card, you may well have seen a new ‘spend £335+, get 10,000 bonus Avios’ offer appear in your Amex Offers section.
The offer T&Cs state you must purchase 20,000 Avios. As you can see below, £335 is the standard price for 20,000 Avios on the BA Buy Avios page:
Under this promotion, you’d receive 30,000 Avios for spending £335.
That works out as 1.1p per Avios. As I’ve said when BA run their ‘Buy Avios’ promotion offers, 1.1p isn’t great value but can work in the right circumstances – e.g. if you need to top up your account for a specific redemption.
Outside of bonus promotions, buying 30,000 Avios from BA costs £495 (1.6p per Avios) so this offer definitely represents an improvement if you were thinking of buying Avios.
You must use your British Airways American Express card to pay – don’t forget to save the offer to your card within your Amex online account before purchasing!

Marriott Bonvoy has launched a new global promotion offering 1,500 points on every stay of two night or more.
All 7,000+ Marriott hotels worldwide are participating in this offer.
Pleasingly, this offer is valid from your first stay with no unnecessary ‘second stay requirements’ this time around.
Earning 1,500 bonus points on a two-night stay isn’t life-changing. But it’s better than earning no bonus points at all – like on my recent stay which fell bang in the middle of the three-week lull between Marriott promotions 🙁.
