Earn Avios on Airbnb bookings

Sometimes hotel stays just don’t make sense. With a couple of kids in tow, I’m just about getting away with it when we travel at the moment. Elite status and trying to guarantee a large room in advance where possible has been the name of the game. But soon enough one hotel room just won’t be practical and cashing in 2 x 85,000 Marriott points or 2 x 95,000 Hilton points a night for two rooms at a top-category hotel often won’t make much sense.

Airbnb is one way around that problem and that doesn’t have to mean a trade-off in terms of earning miles and points when you stay.

BA Airbnb (1)

Via the Airbnb page on the BA website, you can earn 3 Avios per £1/€1/$1 spend. There is also a 500 Avios welcome bonus if you haven’t used Airbnb before. Alternatively, you can find Airbnb listed within the BA eStore.

There is also an offer available if you were thinking of listing your property on Airbnb for the first time. You can earn 8,000 Avios when you become an Airbnb Host. More details here.

  1. BA not Estore not tracking visits to airbnb through estore or this link above. no avios are being credited either. I have even made a video where I
click the link on ba website > enter my ba membership number > landed on airbnb site > made a booking.

    result:
    – no tracking of this visit on estore history
    – no avios rewarded (none showing as pending either)

attempted to contact ba : live chat bot appears and says unable to assist as no tracking available for the visit made.

    any suggestions guys?

    1. Sounds strange. People do have tracking issues with the estore from time to time, I guess much like any other cashback portal etc. Do you have an adblocker or similar that’s blocking cookies?
